With Capone-N-Noreaga, N.O.R.E. released the duo’s first studio album titled The War Report on June 17, 1997. The album reached number #4 on the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums (Billboard) chart and number #21 on US Billboard 200 chart.

On July 7, 1998, he released his debut solo studio album, N.O.R.E. (an acronym for Niggas On The Run Eating), which contained the hit single Superthug which peaked at #36 on the Billboard Hot 100 and reached #1 on the Hot Rap Singles chart. Additionally, the album’s first single and title-track N.O.R.E. is featured on the soundtrack of the 2005 video game Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories.

Alongside Q-Tip, Mary J. Blige, Harold Perrineau, and Fat Joe, N.O.R.E. co-starred as Big Ski in the 2001 film named Prison Song.
